Boston Blackie, played by Kent Tayor on television, was the hero of more than a dozen 1940's B movies, and the lead protagonist in this memorable TV show that aired in syndication from 1951 until 1953. He was the enemy of those who made him an enemy, friend of those who had no friend, a reformed crook living in Los Angeles. Aided by his assistant and galpal Mary Wesley, played by Lois Collier, he regularly solved mystery crimes several steps ahead of the local police.
